孟子與孔子并稱為“孔孟”，是儒家思想的代表搬家。孟子小時候，居住的地方離墓地很近，孟子學(xué)了些祭拜之類的事，玩起辦理喪事的游戲。
Mencius, along with Confucius, is known as "Kong Meng" and represents Confucianism. When Mencius was young, he lived near a graveyard. He learned about rituals and ceremonies associated with paying respects to the deceased and even played games simulating funeral rituals.
他的母親說：“這個地方不適合孩子居住搬家?！庇谑菍⒓野岬郊信裕献訉W(xué)了些做買賣和屠殺的東西。母親又想：“這個地方還是不適合孩子居住?！?/p>
His mother said, "This place is not suitable for a child to live." So, they moved their home to a place near the market, where Mencius learned about trading and slaughtering animals. But his mother thought, "This place is still not suitable for a child to live."

又將家搬到學(xué)宮旁邊搬家。孟子學(xué)習(xí)會了在朝廷上鞠躬行禮及進(jìn)退的禮節(jié)。孟母說：“這才是孩子居住的地方。”就在這里定居下來了。等孟子長大成人后，學(xué)成六藝，獲得大儒的名望。
So they moved their home again, this time near a school. Mencius learned about the etiquette of bowing and proper conduct in the imperial court. His mother said, "This is the right place for a child to live." And they settled there. As Mencius grew into adulthood, he mastered the Six Arts and gained a reputation as a great Confucian scholar.
